Recipe How To Make Pempek

Pempek or Empek-empek Palembang is a typical food made from mashed fish and sago, as well as several other compositions such as eggs, garlic finely, flavor and salt. If you want to taste, it's worth trying to make it. Here is a recipe how to make pempek :
  • 500 gr Fish Mackerel
  • 2 eggs Garlic
  • 120 gr Sago Flour
  • 60 gr Flour
  • 300 ml water
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Sugar
  • Eggs for stuffing

Cuko Sauce Ingredients:
  • 30 g brown sugar
  • 2 pcs Asem Java
  • Vinegar
  • 200 ml water
  • 3 pcs Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Ebi
  • 1 tbsp Tongcai
  • Chili to taste
  • Salt
  • Pepper

  1. Mackerel Fish puree and garlic, add water.
  2. Enter the fish that had been mashed into a large bowl, add flour, corn starch, pepper, sugar, salt and water. Knead.
  3. Then fill with egg shape.
  4. Boil until pempek hovered around 20 minutes. Remove and drain until pempek not much water.
  5. After pempek leak, pempek fry until cooked or browned.

Cuko Sauce :
  1. Add water, tamarind, chillies, garlic, tong cai, dried shrimp, palm sugar, a little salt, pepper, and vinegar, bring to a boil.
  2. Blend the ingredients that have been boiled using a hand blender. Remove and strain.
  3. Serve.
